Sheila
Founder and CEO
Sheila founded The Life Bags in 2016 after a career in the law industry and real estate. Sheila designed all the original bags with the modern consumer in mind, so that each bag could be convertible, durable and useful in everyday routines. If you see Sheila in Chicago she is always carrying a LIFE bag!
Tara
Sales and sustainability
Tara has been actively involved since 2017, coordinating sales, planning, and sustainability initiatives. In 2019, she traveled to India with Sheila for the annual giveback. She is an architecture student with a minor in sustainable cities at University of Illinois at Chicago.
Maddy
E-commerce
Maddy joined our team in summer 2019, starting with sustainability initiatives but as out business pivoted, she relaunched our website and oversees platform management and online sales. She brings experience from working for brands such as Yumi Kim, Marchesa and Burnett. She currently studies Strategic Design and Management at Parsons School of Design.
Kate
Graphic design and social media
Kate joined our team in the summer of 2020, and she does all the graphics you see on our website and instagram. She is passionate about beauty and entrepreneurship, and hopes to launch her own brand in the future. At Parsons School of Design, Kate is in the Bachelors of Business Administration program for Strategic Design and Management,
